Wolfville Area Inter-Church Council Housing Fund
The Wolfville Area Inter-Church Council has allocated funds to support projects that address housing needs in the WAICC catchment area*. Not-for-profit and charitable organizations are invited to submit proposals for projects that address immediate and emergency housing needs. Proposals that identify two or more sources of funding and in-kind services are encouraged.
*Wolfville and Area boundaries: West to Deep Hollow Road; North to Church Street including Starr’s Point, Port Williams to Tiny Parrish Road on the west; East to the Gaspereau River at Avonport, then south to West Brooklyn; South includes Gaspereau, Melanson, White Rock and including the South Mountain area.
Round One: $75,000 is allocated to this round.
Proposals will be accepted until November 18. They will be reviewed as received. Decisions about funding will be made and all applicants will be notified as expediently as possible.
WAICC has currently allocated $200,000 to address housing needs. WAICC also invites tax-receiptable donations to add to this amount. Specify “Housing Needs” on the “Fund” pull-down option on the Canada Helps website. Contact us if you need to donate via cheque.
