Wolfville Area Inter-Church Council (WAICC)
WAICC was founded in 1970 by the churches in the area as a form of ecumenical Christian commitment to address perceived spiritual and social needs.
Member organizations include L’Arche Homefires, Manning Memorial Chapel (Acadia University), Port Williams United Baptist Church, Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), St Francis of Assisi Parish (St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Wolfville and St Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Canning), St John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville, Orchard Valley Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada, and Wolfville Baptist Church.

NAIN Conference postponed
On March 12th WAICC decided to “postpone indefinitely” hosting NAIN Connect 2025. The events on the continent these past number of months have interfered with planning and participation. Any new developments will be posted.
Neighbours’ Meal
Monday, February 24th, 5:30 – 7:30PM at L’Arche, 341 Main St., Wolfville No cost. All welcome! Celebrating 55 years of friendship between local faith communities! Soup, bread & salad for all, with live music and a prayer of thanksgiving for WAICC’s work in the neighbourhood.
WAICC funds Open Arms to support housing outreach
The Wolfville Area Inter-Church Council (WAICC) has donated $45,360 to support the on-going work of the Open Arms Resource Centre’s mobile outreach team for one year. The donation has been made through the WAICC council’s new housing committee to support outreach within the WAICC boundaries in eastern Kings, which include Greenwich, Port Williams, Avonport, Gaspereau and the South Mountain.
