Candles in a church. In Loving Memory of Eli.

In Loving Memory of Eli

On behalf of Manning Memorial Chapel, we are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a young Wolfville community member, Eli, on July 11th. Our hearts go out to Eli’s family and friends during this devastating time.

Grieving the loss of a loved one can be a journey that spans months or even years. Let’s continue to support each other and reach out for help if the grief feels especially hard to bear now or at any point in the future. Spiritual support is available in the community through religious leaders, and additional help can be found through organizations such as the Community Mental Health Crisis Line at 1-888-429-8167, Good2Talk at 1-833-292-3698, Healthy Minds NS at https://healthymindsns.ca and the First Nations and Inuit Hope for Wellness Helpline at 1-855-242-3310.

At Acadia University, information about health and wellness resources is available on this website: https://www2.acadiau.ca/student-life/health-wellness/mental-health/counselling-sessions.html. Spiritual support is also offered by the Chaplain at or by phone at 902-955-2436.

Please consider supporting Eli’s family through this fundraiser: https://gofund.me/01416e1d. Your generosity will help them during this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
